About the Doctor
  

Dr. Vorhies has a family practice that includes cosmetics, implants, and Invisalign orthodontics. He moved to Toronto after graduating from the Indiana University School of Dentistry, and when his wife completed her degree in Occupational Therapy at the University of Toronto, they moved to Portland. They are the proud parents of three sons.

 He has always been involved in continuing education and has earned the awards of Fellow and Master in the Academy of General Dentistry. Additionally, he was the first Oregon recipient of the Lifelong Learning and Service Award. Dr. Vorhies has been inducted into the American College of Dentists and the International College of Dentists.

 An esteemed member of the dental community, Dr. Vorhies has served in many local, state, and national leadership positions within the Oregon Dental Association, the American Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a team dentist for the Portland Winterhawks Hockey Team.

 Beaverton Rotary Club, Oregon High School Hockey League, Donated Dental Service, Youth Exchange, and coaching various youth sports teams are among the many areas of community involvement that Dr. Vorhies enjoys. He has also been a dental volunteer in Mexico and Asia. The office participates with the annual Give Kids A Smile Day and he's served over 100 kids the past 5 years.

 Dr. Vorhies was recently listed among the Top Dentists in Portland by the Portland Monthly magazine.
